David is an African raised, Irish director based between Belfast and Dublin. David’s directing interests (and experience) lie somewhere in the comedy and drama space, having worked across both genres for a number of years.

Starting out writing and directing short films with support from Northern Ireland Screen, David’s projects went on to screen at a number of Academy and BAFTA qualifying film festivals. His 2018 short film ’Camlo’ was an award winner at the Aesthetica Short Film Festival. In 2021 David directed the Second Unit on Lisa McGee’s ‘Derry Girls’. He has most recently directed a pilot for BBC Studios that is undergoing further development.

David has directed work for Spar, Tourism Northern Ireland, Channel 4, and The Department of Education to name a few.
